Enrique Garcia Pena, MD

Dr. Enrique Garcia Pena was born and raised on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. He received a bachelor's degree in Biology from the prestigious University of Chicago. Obtained a Masters degree in Medical Sciences and Research from Boston University. He then returned home to continue his life-long dream of practicing medicine and graduated Summa Cum Laude from University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. Dr. Garcia completed his residency program in Orthopedic Surgery at one of the busiest trauma hospitals in the Caribbean and well known throughout the region: the Medical Sciences Center from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine.

Dr. Garcia completed his fellowship training at the Baylor College of Medicine and Ironman Sports Medicine Institute in Houston, Texas. During his stay in the lone-star state Dr. Garcia served as assistant to the Team Physician of the Houston Texans, Houston Astros, Houston Rockets, Houston Dynamo, University of Houston Athletics, and area high schools. Dr. Garcia specializes in arthroscopic and minimally invasive procedures of the shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee with particular interest in the treatment and prevention of ACL injuries and cartilage restoration procedures. He focuses on building a strong patient-physician relationship and works closely with the patient and their trainers to optimize both surgical and non-surgical outcomes.

Dr. Garcia also looks forward to serving the South Jersey community and has a special interest in working with the athletic trainers of the community high schools to foster and aid in developing their sports medicine programs to provide better care to our young student athletes.
